Bottled by Elixir Distillers for the Single Malts of Scotland range, this 2008 Dailuaine was released in 2025 at 16 years old. Matured in Oloroso sherry cask and bottled at a natural strength of 56.9% ABV, the release was limited to 282 bottles.
The Oloroso cask brings plenty of depth to Dailuaine’s naturally weighty spirit, adding layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate and warming spice while keeping the distillery’s robust character firmly in place. It makes for a full-bodied, sherry-led style of Speyside whisky, with richness from the cask balanced by structure and intensity from the spirit.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with mahogany depths and coppery highlights, a rich, sherry-warmed glow.
Nose
Raisins, dark toffee, orange peel and polished oak, with a touch of cocoa and spice.
Palate
Rich and concentrated, with dried fruit, treacle and dark chocolate elevated by warming sherried oak. A full-bodied Speyside that holds structure and depth, finishing with lingering spice and seasoned wood.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish lingers with spice, sweet dried fruit and seasoned wood, gradually unwinding into a refined, sherry-kissed warmth.
