Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, dark amber with coppery glow and a toasted mahogany edge.
Nose
Deep, rich chocolate cake, iced gingerbread, sultanas, hints of liquorice, treacle.
Palate
Silky toffee and acacia honey envelop the tongue, accented by burnt sugar and toasted oak. Icing sugar sweetness lifts notes of chocolate cherry liqueur and treacle toffees, while wood spices and a whisper of liquorice tighten the finish into warm, refined length.
Finish
A warming, sweet and smoky finish, where liquorice meets espresso, fading into dark chocolate and cacao with a touch of soot, star anise, icing sugar and raisins.
