The number 8 is auspicious in many Eastern Asian countries and throughout the world. In Chinese culture, 8 is considered to be the most prosperous number, as it resembles ‘wealth’, ‘prosperity’ or ‘good fortune’. Multiples of 8 are even more desirable, as 88 resembles ‘double happiness’.
Release 3 is a small batch of only 8 casks from the Dailuaine distillery. The casks were filled in February 2013 into American Oak hogsheads. The Dailuaine distillery is situated in the Speyside region of Scotland taking its water from the Bailliemullich Burn.

Colour
Golden amber with warm honey undertones and a sun-kissed copper glow.
Nose
Soft, inviting nose of creamy vanilla and warm oak from American cask aging, releasing ripe orchard fruits—pear and green apple—laced with honey. Subtle almond, toffee and a gentle spice rise, with a delicate citrus zest and a malty, silky sweetness that hints at poised elegance to come.
Palate
Silky and balanced, with orchard fruit brightness—green apple and pear—layered over vanilla, creamy toffee and light oak. Subtle spice threads through, a touch of almond, and a bright citrus lift on the mid-palate. The finish is warm and refined, with soft malt and a gentle, lingering oak sweetness.
Finish
Elegant, medium-long finish of vanilla and caramel, gently evolving into toasted oak. Dried-fruit nuance with a hint of cocoa and spice linger, followed by a warm, refined tail of oak and subtle sweetness.
