Colour

Deep amber with mahogany edges and a warm, caramel-gold glow.

Nose

Soft borage flowers perfume the nose, mingling with a cascade of rich, ripe red fruits. Floral brightness and sun-warmed berry depth invite a generous, inviting aroma.

Palate

Sticky raisins and honey envelop the palate, a creamy, velvety mouthfeel coating every inch and leaving a rich, indulgent sweetness that lingers.

Finish

A faint hint of spice lingers into a long, luxuriously rich sherry-led finish.

Cardrona
Cardrona was founded by Desiree Reid, who began studying distillation in 2011 before selling her farming business and moving to Wānaka in 2013. The distillery was built in the Cardrona Valley, in New Zealand’s Crown Range, with the first spirit running on 23 October 2015 and the first cask laid on 5 November that year.
