Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery highlights and a dusky mahogany edge, a warm, sunlit glow that promises aged complexity.
Nose
An elegant, smoky bouquet unfolds with dark fruit and sherried depth. Dried fig and prune mingle with plush toffee, vanilla and burnt sugar, while orange zest adds a citrus lift. Subtle spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—threads through velvety oak, with a whisper of peat smoke. Polished leather and cocoa complete the aroma, inviting a poised, long-lingering finish.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and refined on the palate, this 1965 Benromach unfolds with dried fruits, orange zest and cocoa, tempered by sherry sweetness. Nutty walnut, spice and a whisper of smoke mingle with polished oak, delivering balance and depth. The finish is long and warm, with lingering fruit, spice and a subtle nutty note.
Finish
Long and elegant, the finish unfolds with gentle peat and smoke weaving through toffee and dried fruit. Oak spice lingers, leaving a warm, almond-vanilla fade that slowly softens into a refined, persistent echo.
