Arran Rare Batch French Oak Argonne Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old
Out of stock
The extremely rare casks in this bottling were sourced from the Argonne Forest in the north-east of France. They were previously used to mature still wines from a traditional winemaker based near the village of Ay. The Arran Single Malt has been maturing in these precious oak casks for the past 15 years.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery hues and a honeyed glow.
Nose
From Argonne French oak, a wine-inspired bouquet of ripe red fruit—plum, cherry and blackberry—interwoven with fig and grape skin. Vanilla and toasted spice mingle with suave oak, while a delicate almond note adds finesse. A refined, vinous depth lingers, hinting at 15 years of patient maturation.
Palate
Silky and multi-layered, the palate offers ripe red and stone fruit—cherry, peach, apricot—mingling with wine-influenced French oak. Subtle spices emerge: cinnamon, clove, vanilla, with whispers of cacao and almond. Creamy texture, balanced by a coastal salinity that grows on the finish, leaving a refined sweetness and a long, lingering aftertaste.
Finish
Wine-kissed and enduring, this Arran finish lingers with red-fruit depth, almond, and gentle spice, fading into a long, velvety glow of French oak, vanilla, and a final whisper of cocoa.
