Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a ruby-garnet glow and a coppery, wine-dark edge.
Nose
Wine-kissed French oak envelops the nose, releasing ripe dark fruit—blackcurrant, cassis, and plum—interlaced with vanilla and subtle spice. Leather, tobacco, and cedar add maturity, while cocoa and toasted oak provide a refined, luxuriously tactile backdrop. A whisper of cherry and bramble hints at the Médoc cask's red-wine pedigree, suggesting elegance, depth, and a long, lingering finish.
Palate
Opulent, full-bodied and glossy, this Arran layers dark Bordeaux-tinged fruit—blackberry, plum, fig—with velvety vanilla and cocoa. French oak cushions the spirit with a supple tannic grip, while spice notes of clove and nutmeg mingle with a subtle espresso edge, delivering a long, elegant finish.
Finish
Elegant, lingering finish blending dark red fruit and cocoa with vanilla-spice from the French oak. Tannic, silky, and gently warming, it leaves a berry-chocolate echo that slowly fades into a refined, slightly dry finale.
