There have been a number of excellent independant, single cask bottlings of 20 year, cask strength Arran recently, good news here's another one! 1 of 291 bottles this was matured in a refill hogshead before being bottled at natural cask strength.
Fresh and fruity on the nose with pear, apples and pineapple. There's a hint of oaky sweetness and toffee too. The palate arrives with a lovely vanilla and cookie dough sweetness, this is then complimented by baked pears, passion fruit and orange zest. A slight dry spiciness is also present on the departure.
The finish has a vanilla and oak sweetness along with a zesty kick to round things off.
