This unique Whisky has been matured in a combination of second-fill ex-Islay quarter casks and first-fill Oloroso Sherry hogsheads. Created in support of the 1921 Poppy Pledge, a total of 1921 bottles have been produced.
Bourbon sweetness mixes with soft oaky tones, followed by aromas of heather blossom and autumn fruits. There’s a subtle hint of cacao and brown sugar too. Floral flavours lead the way, with overtones of warm vanilla and light spices. Fruity sweetness coats the palate, with overtones of fruits and nuts. Sumptuous and decadent, like a mouthful of Christmas cake. Hints of heather honey and butterscotch melt gently away. Sweet and smooth to the very end.
