Bottled at natural cask strength, this lightly peated Single Malt from Wolfburn has been allowed to mature for 7 years in bourbon and sherry wood. from this limited release expect an abundance of sweet flavours, overlaid with hints of peat smoke.
(WOLF-burn) Wolfburn takes its name from a historic distillery founded in 1821 by William Smith on the outskirts of Thurso, where it quickly became the largest distillery in Caithness. The original site later fell silent and was eventually left in ruins, but the name returned when the modern Wolfburn Distillery was built nearby and spirit began flowing again on Burns Night, 25 January 2013.
