Wolfburn No. 155 Small Batch Release #4 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Out of stock
Wolfburn Distillery's fourth small-batch release, named Batch 155. Consisting of just 5300 bottles in total, it is the first whisky from Wolfburn to have been matured in one type of cask (first-fill ex-bourbon barrels for close to five years) then finished in another (six months in port hogsheads). The results are superb: a smooth, rich, easy drinking whisky, rich in colour and with a depth of sweet flavours from the port influence.
Like previous Wolfburn small-batch releases, Batch 155 was named after the warehouse in which the casks were matured (Warehouse 1), and the specific row in which the casks were located (row 55).

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep warm amber with copper-gold sheen and a subtle port-tinged ruby glow.
Nose
Opulent nose of red berries, plum and raisin, with fig and a whisper of vanilla from the bourbon cask. A subtle cocoa undertone and toasted oak frame a port-finished sweetness, delivering polished fruit, warmth and spice—inviting, luxurious, and perfectly balanced.
Palate
Silky and full on the palate, creamy vanilla and caramel from the bourbon backbone mingle with dark fruit and red berry notes from the port finish. Rich without heaviness, with touches of cocoa, toasted oak, and a whisper of spice. The sweetness is balanced by a subtle maritime bite, culminating in a long, warming finish.
Finish
A long, luxurious finish of port-driven sweetness with ripe red fruit, subtle vanilla and spice, gradually fading into warm, refined oak.
