Distilled in 1967 at Tomintoul and bottled in 2015 by Murray McDavid for the Mission Gold range. This 48 year old Single Malt was matured in a single Bourbon barrel before being finished in a first fill Bourbon barrel. You will discover thick, rich and sweet notes with toffee, citrus and vanilla. Also some char and smoky character as well.

Palate
Thick, velvety on the palate, with rich toffee and vanilla sweetness balanced by bright citrus. Bourbon cask influence brings creamy oak and a touch of char, finishing in a softly smoky, lingering note.
Finish
Long, warming finish with creamy toffee and vanilla lingering into bright citrus zest. Subtle char and toasted oak weave through, while a delicate smoky whisper tints the sweetness, leaving a polished, lingering warmth.
