Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with copper undertones, a warm, sun-kissed hue.
Nose
Delicate and refined, the nose unfolds with honeyed malt, orchard fruits and warm vanilla, offset by polished oak. Subtle almond and beeswax lend waxy depth, while soft spice and a whisper of citrus add brightness. An elegant, old Speyside aroma that speaks of patient cask maturation.
Palate
Silky and refined, this 44-year Tomintoul offers creamy vanilla, honeyed orchard fruit and a citrus lift. Sherry-cask influence brings dried fig and raisin, woven with gentle oak, spice and a hint of almond. Finishes long and warm, with a creamy, subtly nutty fade.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with honeyed orchard fruit, delicate spice and toasted oak. A soft sherry sweetness lingers with caramel, dried fruit and leather, gradually yielding to a warm, velvety fade.
