Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery warmth and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
Elegant and restrained, the aroma opens with bright orchard fruit—apple, pear—and a whisper of citrus. Beneath, refined sherry sweetness emerges: fig, date and raisin, with almond and walnut notes. Subtle spice—clove and cinnamon—drifts through vanilla, toffee and the polish of mature oak.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this Tomintoul layers dried fruit and toffee with orange zest and lightly roasted almond. Sherry influences add a gentle sweetness that cushions vanilla and oak, while spice echoes through clove and baking spice. The mouthfeel is velvety and generous, finishing with cocoa, orange peel, and a lingering, polished sweetness.
Finish
An exceptionally long, refined finish. Dried fruits and orange zest unfold into cocoa, almond, and a gentle Sherry glow, then drift into toasted oak and soft spice. Silky, persistent, and warming, it lingers with velvet sweetness and a whisper of praline.
