Triple distilled, non-chill filtered, and crafted from a mash bill made entirely of Irish barley. Bottled at high strength.

Colour

Deep amber with copper-gold glow and a hint of mahogany, a burnished, sunlit hue that hints at the sherry-matured richness within.

Nose

Sherry cask influence lingers on the nose, unveiling dark chocolate.

Palate

Toasted oak and sweet sherried raisins form a rich, layered palate, with subtle dark chocolate notes weaving through the sweetness and a balanced, lingering warmth.

Finish

Nutty oloroso sherry persists into a luxurious finish, where dark chocolate weaves through the warmth, leaving a long, indulgent tail that begs for another sip.

The Irishman was created by Bernard and Rosemary Walsh as part of Walsh Whiskey’s move into Irish whiskey in the mid-2000s. It was the company’s first whiskey brand, launched in 2007, and it drew on older Irish whiskey styles at a time when the category was still rebuilding its premium reputation.
