The Distillers Editions are an annual release of the finest single malts, double-matured in batches using individually prepared casks that have held a specially selected fortified wine, chosen to complement the characteristics of each mature whisky. The result is a range of sublime, deeply flavoured single malt whiskies, very much true to their origins, yet possessing a rich depth, complexity and nuance of flavour.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery edges and a sun-warmed, tawny glow.
Nose
Sea-salted air and embered peat mingle with a brisk maritime tang. The nose carries a resinous smoke, graphite, and a briny whisper of kelp, layered with indulgent sherried fruit—raisin, fig, a touch of dried date. Beneath, lacquered oak, vanilla and cracked pepper lend warmth and depth, while zests of orange rind shimmer.
Palate
Bold, maritime peat coats the palate with sea-salt tang and cracked pepper, while sherry influences weave in ripe dark fruit, fig and treacle. Layers of charcoal smoke mingle with cocoa and a hint of vanilla, delivering a lush, warm sweetness that persists with a drying, peppery finish.
Finish
Long, maritime and softly smoky, the finish settles with talc-soft peat and saline echoes, kissed by sherried sweetness. Dark chocolate, dried fruit and spice linger, while warming caramel and toasted almond notes drift away on a dusky ember of smoke.
