Out of stock
The 'Rare Old' range captured lost gems from a bygone era of Single Malt Scotch Whisky production. This Whisky has been silently maturing, slowly finding it's own unique voice, and today, has come to represent some of the finest ever expressions distilled in Scotland.
A snapshot in time, each release from the 'Rare Old' range serves as a reminder of Scotland’s rich distilling heritage; a bygone era bottled.
Like a rocket these St. Magdalene bottles are shooting up in value and rightly so as this is second only to Rosebank as one of our most converted Lowland distillleries here at HTFW.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery warmth and a subtle mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent and hushed, it opens to dark dried fruits—raisin, fig, and date—woven with toffee, cocoa, and polished oak. Leather, orange zest, and a measured sherry depth hover on a gentle spice, delivering a refined, old-world perfume.
Palate
Silky and refined, this sherried Lowland caresses the palate with delicate sweetness and fruit. Raisin and fig entwine with orange zest, almond, and toffee, while cocoa, leather and warm spice lend depth. Oak tannins frame a long, comforting finish, echoing espresso and burnt sugar with elegant malt clarity.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish drapes with dried fruit, orange peel and toasted almond, touched by sherry sweetness. Cocoa, oak and a whisper of spice linger, fading slowly into a warm, elegant note that persists with quiet grace.
