Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Rich, contemplative nose of dried figs and plum, coaxed by robust sherry into dark chocolate, toffee and orange zest. Nutty almond and walnut mingle with leather, tobacco and spice, as gentle oak and age meld into a quiet, deeply elegant aromatic tapestry.
Palate
Silky and opulent, this paints the palate with dark sherry fruit—prune, fig and raisin—woven through velvet toffee and orange zest. Subtle cocoa, almond, and spice unfold against integrated oak, delivering elegance over power. A refined, long finish lingers with warm sweetness and a whisper of leather, a mature Lowland expression from a rare, silent era.
Finish
Long and luxurious, the finish drapes the palate in sherried sweetness. Dried fig and raisin mingle with cocoa and toasted almond, while a whisper of nutmeg and clove lingers against refined oak. Warm, bittersweet and impeccably balanced, it fades into a polished, velvet finish that stretches into memory.
