Springbank Rum Wood 2019 Edition Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old

Nose

This is a sweet tropical dram with coconut, pineapple and banana aromas. The sweetness continues with toasted marshmallows and sticky toffee pudding but is balanced with a hint of peat.

Palate

The sweetness transfers onto the palate. There’s the velvety smooth richness of decadent desserts such as a tropical meringue pavlova, crème brûlée, toffee apple & pecan pie, along with citrus yuzu notes. There’s also an earthy quality from the Springbank dunnage warehouses.

Finish

The earthy quality now comes to the fore and the dram ends on a dry note. Both are more pronounced once water is added.
