The Local Barley is an annual release made from barley grown in or around Campbeltown. Each year a local farmer is commissioned to grow barley on our behalf to continue producing this ‘grain to glass’ limited edition.
Different farms, barley varieties, cask maturations and length of time the whisky spends in the casks from one batch to the next allow our customers a unique tasting experience every time.
50% Bourbon, 50.0% Sherry.
Farm: High Ranachan.

Colour
Gleaming burnished gold with warm amber depths and coppery undertones.
Nose
Cracked black pepper leads, tempered by the dry elegance of a cigar box and a herbaceous kiss of sage. The aroma hints at Campbeltown’s coastal craft and the Local Barley’s grain-to-glass artistry, poised and inviting.
Palate
On the palate, shortbread and salted caramel mingle with a herbal basil note, delivering creamy sweetness with a light, herbal lift.
Finish
A long, sweet finish that lingers with pronounced toffee, drifting into caramel and a subtle malt sweetness, leaving a warm, comforting echo on the palate.
