The Local Barley is an annual release made from barley grown in or around Campbeltown. Each year a local farmer is commissioned to grow barley on our behalf to continue producing this ‘grain to glass’ limited edition.
Different farms, barley varieties, cask maturations and length of time the whisky spends in the casks from one batch to the next allow our customers a unique tasting experience every time.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Gleaming amber with a coppery halo and a bright honey-gold glow.
Nose
Delicate notes open the nose, with hints of digestive biscuits and a cereal whisper reminiscent of malt barns. Bourbon influence threads vanilla custard and custard creams through the aroma. Over time, a fruity cherry note blossoms, bringing a subtle lift to the scent.
Palate
Vanilla from the nose carries onto the palate, unfolding sweet, creamy Victoria sponge flavours, with honey and syrup brightening the mid-palate and fresh barley water providing balance.
Finish
A light, sweet finish with hints of salted caramel lingering softly.
