Springbank 10 Year Old offers a perfect introduction to the Springbank range. Matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, it is perfectly balanced from the first sip through to the full, rich finish. Moderately peated with flavours and aromas of sweet vanilla, orchard fruits, exotic spices, sea salt, and smoky bonfire.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant amber-gold with warm copper undertones and a whisper of mahogany at the rim, glowing with honeyed depth.

Nose

Softly peated, the nose opens with creamy vanilla and orchard fruits, brightened by exotic spices. A briny sea-salt lift carries through while wisps of smoky bonfire mingle with gentle peat. Subtle sherry-cask sweetness lingers, yielding a balanced, inviting aromatic core.

Palate

Silky and balanced on the palate, Springbank 10 Year unfolds with creamy vanilla and orchard fruit sweetness intertwined with exotic spice. Gentle maritime salt threads through wisps of peat and smoke, while sherry cask influence adds a touch of drying complexity. The mouthfeel is polished yet resolute, leading to a long, warming finish where smoke lingers with refined sweetness.

Finish

Long, balanced finish with creamy vanilla, orchard fruit, and sea-salt spice lingering; subtle peat and smoky bonfire weave through, fading to a warm, refined afterglow.

(SPRING-bank) The 14th distillery to be built in the region of Campbeltown, Springbank is still owned by the Mitchell family, who also own the Glengyle distillery in the same region. Springbank produces three different styles of Single Malt; Hazelburn (triple distilled and non peaty) Longrow (twice distilled and heavy peat of 50-55ppm) and Springbank itself (two and a half times distilled and peated to 12-15ppm). Springbank is also one of the few distilleries that malt their own barley and bottle on site.
