Tasting Notes
Nose
Redcurrant jelly, crunchy cranberries with an earthy note and a whiff of an old dunnage warehouse, stewed red plums, rhubarb, subtle smoke, peppery oak, parma ham and ripe fig with aniseed.
Palate
Salted red berries, earthy, leathery, a touch of forest floor, peppery shortbread, redcurrant and rosemary jelly, smoked cured meats, stewed plums & port.
Finish
Dry wine tannins, crunchy red berries, rosemary, aniseed, glace cherry, smoked nougart, tawny port, smoked cheese rinds, long and savoury.
