Port Ellen (silent) The McGibbon's Provenance Single Malt Scotch Whisky 18 Year Old · 1981 Vintage
Out of stock
A Port Ellen single malt bottled by McGibbon’s for the Provenance range, this 18 year old was distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2000 after maturation in sherry casks, bottled at 43% ABV.
Sherry cask maturation brings dried fruit richness, gentle spice and oak depth, complementing Port Ellen’s distinctive coastal character, where peat smoke, maritime notes and citrus brightness combine in a balanced and refined style. Produced from stocks of this now-closed Islay distillery, it represents an increasingly scarce example of Port Ellen’s classic house character.

Deep copper-amber with mahogany undertones and a warm, lacquered glow; the sherry-influenced hue catches light with amber brightness and a whisper of ruby at the rim.
