Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural deep amber with copper-red highlights and a whispered touch of mahogany at the rim, a warm, sun-warmed hue from its sherry-cask maturation.
Nose
Aromas rise with maritime elegance: dried fig, prune and raisin mingle with orange zest, cocoa nib and toasted almond. Subtle sherry accents ripe red fruit, polished oak and a whisper of sea salt, with a touch of vanilla spice. Elegant, restrained and quietly luxurious.
Palate
Silky and restrained, this 35-year-old Bunnahabhain coats the palate with refined sherried sweetness—prune, fig and date mingle with cocoa, almond and a touch of coffee. Nutty, toffee notes rise with orange zest and a hint of sea salt, finishing long, elegant and balanced.
Finish
An exceptionally long, elegant finish that slowly releases walnut and dried fig, with orange zest, subtle sherried sweetness and soft cocoa. A touch of oak and sea air lingers, conveying refined spice and a gentle warmth on the palate.
