This single cask Scotch whisky was distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery, on Islay, on the 28th Febuary 1975. The new spirit was filled into an Oloroso Sherry Butt, cask number 2845, where it remained until bottling in 2023.
A lovely deep auburn in colour, the 48 years in cask have created a beautifully rich liquid with dark grapes, old sandalwood and ripe apricots. The mouthfeel is luscious and expansive with a long, satisfying finish. The colour of the whisky reflects only the natural impact from the cask during maturation.
This whisky was disgorged and bottled under the supervision of Andrew Symington on the 5th of October 2023.

Palate
Opulent and velvety on the palate, it coats with a luxurious mouthfeel. Dark grape and ripe apricot unfold beside warm sandalwood, with sherry-soft spice from the Oloroso cask. Plummy fruit, caramel, and a touch of coastal salt balance the richness, leading to a long, resonant finish with polished wood and enduring fruit sweetness.

Long and luxurious, the finish unfolds with dark grape sweetness, velvety sandalwood and ripe apricot, carried by rich Oloroso sherry influence. A warm, oak-bound tail lingers, evolving into subtle spice as the fruit fades, leaving a lasting, satisfying impression.
