This single cask Scotch whisky was distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery, on Islay, on the 18th of December 1978. The new spirit was filled into a 2nd fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, cask number 7638, where it remained until bottling in 2023.
A lovely dark gold colour, the 44 years in cask have created a beautifully rich liquid with ripe banana, warm caramel and roasted walnuts. The mouthfeel is luscious and expansive with a long, satisfying finish. The colour of the whisky reflects only the natural impact from the cask during maturation.
This whisky was disgorged under the supervision of Andrew Symington the distillery manager on the 5th of October 2023.

An exquisitely lush and expansive palate, where ripe banana sweetness blends with warm caramel and roasted walnut notes. The velvety mouthfeel coats the tongue, revealing a gentle sherried depth and a long, nutty finish that lingers.
Finish
A long, sumptuous finish that lingers with walnut, warm caramel and ripe banana, slowly fading into delicate oak and lingering sherry richness.
