Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights, a rich, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Dense peat smoke and sea-salted air surge from the glass, laced with medicinal iodine and coastal kelp. Underneath, charred citrus peel and freshly burnt sugar mingle with black pepper and subtle sherry-driven richness—dark chocolate, fig, and vanilla. A mineral, maritime lift keeps the aroma buoyant and inviting, hinting at a bold Islay profile.
Palate
Layered peat smoke with sea-salt and medicinal iodine frames a core of rich malt and dried fruit. Cocoa, toffee and vanilla weave through tar and pepper, delivering a warming, spicy sweetness. The finish is long, briny and smoky, with mineral salt and oak lingering on the palate.
Finish
Long, maritime finish of peat smoke and iodine, with sea-salt brine lingering on the palate. Hints of citrus and vanilla emerge as the smoke fades, leaving a warm, ash-dusted echo.
