One of the oldest producers of Single Malt Whisky in Scotland. The Whisky Creations Team for Murray McDavid have selected this classic Speyside Malt to mature in modern, small Bourbon casks from the Koval Distillery, in Chicago, USA. With a higher wood to spirit ratio, these small 110-litre casks mature spirit far quicker than if it were in a standard American barrel or a Sherry butt. After two years in these casks, the result is a wonderfully balanced Whisky.
Thanks to the Koval Cask there are delicious aromas of creamy vanilla, caramel and popcorn. The vanilla continues on the palate, along with tropical fruits and sweet oak spice. Notes of orange, brown sugar and soft malt rounds everything off nicely on the finish.
