Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, burnished amber with copper highlights and a mahogany glow.
Nose
Intense maritime peat and smoke, laced with iodine and sea spray. Sherry-sweet notes of fig, raisin and dark cherry mingle with cocoa, toffee and vanilla. A medicinal, coastal resin wafts through the glass, leaving a thick, smoke-kissed aroma.
Palate
Fiercely peated and medicinal, it coats the palate in thick smoke and maritime salt. Sherry-fueled notes bring dark toffee, fig and chocolate through the peat, while orange zest and pepper lift the mid-palate. A warming finish of ash and spice lingers.
Finish
Long, warming finish with coastal peat smoke and sea salt, fading into rich sherry-soaked fruit. Dried fig and fig jam mingle with cacao and toasted oak, lingering as a resinous, lacquered tail with a final whisper of spice and dark coffee.
