Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany and copper highlights, a warm, wine-dark glow.
Nose
Warm, comforting aromas of hot cereal and honey meet fresh barley, with subtle savoury earthiness. Mixed nuts orbit creamy apple crumble and toffee‑apple muffins, weaving a nutty, malty sweetness with hints of bakery spice.
Palate
Buttery fruit cake mix, toffee apple and honey nut cereal mingle with mince pies, sherry soaked sultana and spiced grape, all carried by a subtle, meaty mouthfeel and a beguiling balance of oak and spice.
Finish
Warm, enduring finish of ginger cake and buttery malt loaf, with sherry-soaked dried fruit and a drizzle of golden syrup. Honey baked ham adds savory sweetness while aromatic wood spice lingers, weaving a balanced, luxurious note to the Sherry cask influence.
