An opulent, sherried aroma unfolds slowly: prunes, fig and cherry compote mingle with dark cocoa and espresso, framed by toasted walnut and almond. Hints of orange zest and soft spice—nutmeg, clove—lift the richness, while subtle leather and mature oak lend a refined, satin-like depth.
Palate
Velvety and full-bodied, this Mortlach coats the palate with dark fruit richness—prune, fig and raisin—touched by toffee and creamy caramel. Sherry brings cocoa, toasted almond and a kiss of orange zest, while spices—cinnamon and clove—linger with a subtle waxy, meaty depth. The texture is luxurious, and the finish extends with warm spice and leather notes.
