Mackmyra Äppelblom is an elegant single malt distilled at Mackmyra Bruk. The whisky is finished in saturated oak casks which previously held Calvados from Christian Drouin. Light tones of apple from the Mackmyra distillate together with richer apple flavours from the Calvados fused with generous oak character creates a spicy balance. Notes of apple, ripe pear, citrus, almond toffee and cedar wood are present.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with a sunlit honey glow and coppery highlights.
Nose
Fruity, lightly floral aromas with vanilla from bourbon and new American oak. Subtle toffee and toasted oak mingle with cedar, lifting notes of apple, pear and lemon into a bright, inviting bouquet.
Palate
Fruity and spicy, with apple, pear and lemon; vanilla, cedar, aniseed and almond toffee mingle with white pepper and ginger, finishing with a gently rounded texture.
Finish
Fruity and spicy tones linger with a light oak undertone, delivering a soft, bright apple tang that lingers—an elegant nod to the Calvados finish.
