Mackmyra Karibien is a rich, sweet, spicy single-malt whisky mostly matured in Plantation rum casks from Barbados and Jamaica. The remaining 25% is sourced from casks that held Oloroso Sherry and cherry wine. A limited edition of 4,137 bottles.
The result is a spicy, fruity whisky with warm notes of rum and vanilla oak. The whisky from the various casks that make up Moment Karibien are at least 8 years old and at most 12. Matured 50 metres underground in Bodås Mine.

Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold hues and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
A lavish, fruity-spicy bouquet with creamy butter, vanilla and toffee sweetness, tempered by roasted oak. Aromas of berries and pear mingle with a whisper of rum and dried fruit, hinting at Caribbean warmth.
Palate
Spicy and fruity on the palate, with warm rum and Oloroso sweetness meeting oaky vanilla. The slightly oily texture coats the mouth, delivering notes of dried fruit, pear and ripe berries, and resolving in a long vanilla-wood finish with a gentle rum echo.
Finish
Fruity and oaky on the finish, with a subtle vanilla echo. The sweetness persists as warm fruit and toasted oak fade into a refined, lingering softness.
