Out of stock
A sadly now discontinued bottling of Longrow. A 1996 vintage, 10 year old release. Replaced first by the CV and then the standard Longrow.
This is a cracking heavily peated whisky, bourbon cask matured, this has a lovely mix of vanilla sweetness, coastal salinity and brininess and the unmistakable savoury note of campbeltown. Top stuff.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold sheen, a warm, sun-kissed hue that hints at bourbon-cask maturation and coastal vanilla-brine character.
Nose
Heavy peat smoke envelops vanilla sweetness with a touch of honeyed warmth. Maritime brine and sea-salt cling to the nose, while a distinctly savoury Campbeltown character threads through the aroma.
Palate
On the palate, bold peat sits alongside vanilla-bourbon sweetness, while coastal brine and sea-salt lift the flavors. Savory Campbeltown character threads through, with a mouth-coating texture and a lingering smoke-and-salt finish.
Finish
Longrow endures with a long maritime finish: peat smoke drifts over sea-salt and brine, anchored by gentle vanilla from the bourbon cask. Savoury Campbeltown character lingers, tapering to a dry, coastal echo.
