Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, evoking sunlit caramel in a glass.
Nose
Intense peat smoke and medicinal iodine rise from the glass, mingle with coastal brine and sea-salt, while a whisper of vanilla and oak sweetness lingers behind the smoke.
Palate
Powerful peat and marine brine announce the palate, smoke curling with iodine, tar and sea salt. A creamy, oil-laden mouthfeel releases vanilla and toasted oak, while sherry cask influence brings dark fruits—raisin and fig—and cocoa with a touch of spice. The finish is long and contemplative, warming the palate with peppery peat and coastal smoke that lingers with a mineral, medicinal edge.
Finish
Long, peaty finish with iodine and maritime smoke lingering on the palate. Saline notes coat evenly, slowly giving way to a gentle sweetness, then warming spice and a final touch of oak that echoes into the afterglow.
