Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery, honey-gold sheen.
Nose
Peat smoke and medicinal iodine rise, carried on a brisk coastal breeze of sea-salt and brine. Underneath, hints of vanilla, toffee and toasted oak unfold, giving a warm, caramel-sweet counterpoint to the rugged Islay character.
Palate
Peat-forward with medicinal iodine and sea-salt brightness. Rich yet refined, vanilla and toasted barley offer a subtle sweetness against old oak. The mouthfeel is full and smooth, peppery heat rising to a long, coastal finish of smoke, ash and lingering peat.
Finish
Long, maritime peat and medicinal iodine linger, with sea-salt and ash fading into a warming whisper of spice and vanilla.
