Out of stock
A 15 year old Laphroaig bottled by Ian Macleao as part of their Dun Bheagan Regional Single Malts range. Always a great age for a Laphroaig this, showing the balance between the peaty base spirit and time in cask. This 2004 vintage malt was vatted from 3 Bourbon Barrels (50094, 50096 & 50097) before being bottled at 46% ABV.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Copper-gold with sunlit amber and honey-bronze hues, a warm, radiant glow.
Nose
Robust peat smoke sits at the fore, sharpened by medicinal iodine and coastal brine, a touch of seaweed. Bourbon-barrel vanilla and caramel braid through toasted oak, yielding a subtly honeyed sweetness. A bright citrus lift and a whisper of sea salt linger, finishing with a refined, enduring smoky edge.
Palate
Peat-forward and maritime, the palate delivers bold smoke wrapped in iodine and sea-salt. Bourbon-derived vanilla and caramel brighten the profile, while toasted oak, almond and a touch of cocoa add depth. The texture is creamy and substantial, with a balanced sweetness easing the peat. The finish is long and smoky, with lingering brine, pepper and medicinal notes.
Finish
Long, peaty finish with coastal smoke, iodine and a saline whisper that lingers. Bourbon-driven vanilla and oak spice emerge in the fade, warming the palate as the smoke slowly softens to a refined, maritime sweetness.
