Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense, dark amber with coppery-bronze hues and a subtle burnished-gold glow.
Nose
Menthol-laced, leafy peat smoke unfurls into delicate fruit notes of angelica and poached pear in stock syrup. A coastal, vegetal surge of sauerkraut and briny seaweed rises, followed by hints of pine resin, almond milk, white pepper and apple skin.
Palate
Rich spicy green fruit and sooty peat smoke burst onto the palate, settling into stewed rhubarb and pear with hints of oiliness and rockpool-like nuance. A mineral, leafy lift emerges, with notes of preserved lime, aniseed and green fig.
Finish
A harmonious weave of sweet green pear in stock syrup, sauerkraut, and dark chocolate bitterness, with white pepper and anise. Waves of clean, creamy peat smoke linger, while a damp, grassy coastal breeze hints at the whisky's maritime soul.
