A departure from Kilkerran's typically lightly peated single malt, their Heavily Peated Kilkerran is released twice per year at cask strength and around 45PPM. Although the maturation can vary, it is typically matured predominantly in Bourbon casks.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany edge, rich and inviting with a gleam of honeyed warmth.
Nose
Mineral notes greet the nose, peat smoke rising from the outset, paired with a malty, cereal backbone that hints at warmth and depth to come.
Palate
Orchard fruits take the lead as peat smoke intensifies on the palate, delivering campfire ember notes that linger with a warm, smoky sweetness.
Finish
Long and sweet, the finish coats the palate with honeyed vanilla and caramel, while wisps of campfire smoke drift into the afterglow. Bourbon-driven oak frames the sweetness, letting orchard fruit linger as the smoke softly fades.
