Kilchoman Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 16 Year Old

Kilchoman 16 Year Old is a landmark release for the distillery, as its oldest global bottling to date. Matured from a combination of 21 casks, predominantly ex-bourbon barrels with a small proportion of Oloroso sherry casks, it shows how well Kilchoman’s farm-distilled Islay spirit develops with longer ageing.

That cask balance works especially well for Kilchoman. The bourbon casks keep the whisky bright and expressive, bringing vanilla, citrus and orchard fruit, while the sherry casks add an extra layer of richness and spice. The result is a more mature, rounded take on the distillery’s familiar style, with maritime peat smoke, fruit and oak all working in harmony.
