Casado (Portuguese for marriage) isa limited edition bottling which wasmatured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were selected andmarried together for 2 years in two 6,000 litre Portuguese red wine vats.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with coppery-red undertones and warm mahogany edges, a rich, wine-kissed glow.
Nose
An opening note of intense campfire smoke, balanced with ripe summer stonefruits: peach, plum and cherry. Rich marzipan emerges, entwined with subtle maritime hints.
Palate
Red wine vatting brings pepper and spice upfront, with a dry, salty peat smoke. Apricot and lemon carve through the smoke, revealing a bright, fruit-forward core.
Finish
Long, hot and spicy, shaped by the Portuguese red-wine vat marriage; stewed fruit notes intensify into a sweet jam, while Kilchoman’s smoky backbone lingers to balance the sweetness.
