Casado (Portuguese for marriage) isa limited edition bottling which wasmatured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were selected andmarried together for 2 years in two 6,000 litre Portuguese red wine vats.

Tasting Notes
Nose
An opening note of intense campfiresmoke balanced with ripe summer stonefruits; peach, plum and cherry. Deep notesof marzipan become the focus combinedwith layered maritime notes.
Palate
The red wine vatting bringspepper and spice on the first taste. Dry, salty peat smoke sits on the palate, yet fruit notes of apricot and lemon findtheir way through.
Finish
A long finish which brings ahot, spicy character from the marriagein Portuguese red wine vats. Stewed, cooked fruit notes bring a sweet-jamprofile providing an on-going sweet-ness that the classic Kilchoman smokebalances beautifully.
