A double matured offering of the Lowland single malt Glenkinchie. Initially matured in Bourbon barrels this whisky is then finished in Amontillado sherry casks for an extran layer of delicte sweetness and fruit. As much of this distillery's output goes into the Haig blend, this and the 12 year old are really the only standard bottlings available.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale gold with a sun-kissed honey hue and a delicate amber edge, a refined, translucent glow.
Nose
Soft, fragrant notes of green apple and pear mingle with honeyed vanilla from the bourbon maturation; beneath, Amontillado sherry adds almond, hazelnut and dried fruit, with a citrus zest lift and a whisper of oak.
Palate
Silky, light-bodied palate with citrus zest and green apple, framed by vanilla and honey. The Amontillado finish adds refined almond, walnut and toffee, a whisper of sherry warmth, and a delicate dryness. Smooth and elegant, with a lingering nutty finish.
Finish
Delicate Amontillado sherry sweetness coats a bright, fruity core, with almond, orange zest and dried fig notes. The finish is refined and medium-long, lightly oaken, warming the palate with subtle spice as the fruit lingers into a graceful, refined aftertaste.
