Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold shimmer and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Rich dried-fruit aromas rise from the glass—prune, fig and raisin—woven with nutty depth (almond, hazelnut) and a warming, spice-laden edge. The Oloroso sweetness leaves a glossy, sherry-tinged glow that amplifies GlenAllachie’s malt-forward, full-bodied character at cask strength.
Palate
On the palate, a lush, full-bodied liqueur of dried fruit—ripe fig, prune and sultana—layered with toasted almond and hazelnut. Rich toffee and cocoa drift through, while warming spice—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—pinions the sweetness. The single cask Sherry influence lends depth and a syrupy velvet mouthfeel, with oak and vanilla supporting a long, elegant finish of fruit and spice.
