A big, rich Sherried Speyside whisky from the Glenallachie distillery, bottled as part of the Single Malts of Scotland, Director's Special range. As most Genallachie ends up in Chivas Brothers blends, such an aged single malt version is something of a find! Dark ruby in colour with deep raisin and plum aromas and a hint of dar chocolate and spice. The palate is rich, long and warming with sweet spice, lots of sherried fruit character and more of that lovely chocolate sweetness. The finish is spicy and dry balancing out the opulent palate.
