GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch #2 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 30 Year Old
In stock
Following in the footsteps of Batch 1, we proudly present the second instalment of Glenallachies oldest and most prestigious core range release to date; The GlenAllachie 30-year-old Batch 2.
Fuelled by his desire to use vintage stocks to craft a truly exquisite expression, Master Blender Billy Walker implemented his wood management expertise and superlative blending skills to create this deep mahogany malt.
Working with vintages from across 1990 and 1991, Billy ultimately selected and married together six extraordinary casks; a sophisticated combination of PX and Oloroso hogsheads and puncheons, along with some virgin oak casks. The resulting liquid boasts sherry-matured elegance, bursting with indulgent mocha and sweet spices, alongside archetypal GlenAllachie honeyed charm.
Proudly presented at cask strength of 50.8%, at natural colour and without chill-filtration, this small-batch release is a true representation of the exceptional character and craft of Glenallachie distillery.
