The oldest release in Glenallachie's 3rd batch of Single Casks, this particular release is from a Single Oloroso Sherry Cask.
Oloroso Sherry is made in the Jerez area of Andalusia, Spain and is often dark and nutty with a long finish. The slightly smaller hogshead cask, compared to a butt or puncheon, gives greater wood and spirit interaction, enhancing the intensity of flavours.

Colour
Dark amber with mahogany depth and a warm coppery glow.
Nose
Heather honey, mocha and nutmeg weave through a warm, layered nose, brightened by pineapple and a hint of eucalyptus—a honeyed, spiced aroma with tropical brightness and a fresh lift.
Palate
Waves of dark chocolate, mocha and almonds unfold, giving way to orange zest, grapefruit and ginger for a zesty, warming finish.
Finish
Long, nutty finish with dark chocolate and mocha lingering, followed by almond warmth, a bright thread of orange zest and ginger, ending in a warm, velvety Sherry glow that lingers.
