Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural in colour, this Glasgow 1770 Peated Single Malt glows with a warm, deep amber core, brushed by honey-gold highlights and a coppery shimmer—a hint of sherry maturity and toasted oak.
Nose
Peat smoke envelops rich vanilla and toasted toffee, with salted caramel. Dried tobacco and warm oak spice mingle, while Pedro Ximénez sherry adds depth and a glossy sweetness. Pristine Loch Katrine water keeps the smoke crisp and inviting.
Palate
Peat-smoked and bold, it balances vibrant vanilla and rich toffee with dried tobacco and salted caramel. Virgin oak adds spice and structure, while a subtle PX sherry finish threads warmth into a lingering peppery spice.
Finish
Long, warming finish where Pedro Ximénez sweetness blankets vanilla and toffee, intertwined with salted caramel. Subtle dried tobacco and peat smoke linger, while virgin oak adds a creamy backbone. A final wave of spice slowly fades, leaving an elegant, lingering warmth.
