Glasgow 1770 Cognac Cask Finish is a limited-edition release from the distillery’s Small Batch Series, showcasing thoughtful cask experimentation.

This six-year-old single malt is created by marrying two peated and three unpeated whiskies, initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before an extended finish in French Cognac casks. Bottled at a robust 58% ABV, it delivers an elegant, orchard-fruit-led profile with notes of poached pear, dried apple, toffee and caramel, balanced by rich vanilla, honeyed sweetness and a gentle lick of smoke.

The company takes its name from one of the city’s historic distilleries, founded in 1770 and closed in 1902, while the modern distillery operates from Hillington on the outskirts of Glasgow.
