This 6-year-old Glasgow 1770 release was matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks for 4 years and 7 months before a further 1 year and 7 months in White Port French oak hogsheads. Bottled at 53.3% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, it was released as a two-cask marriage with an outturn of 720 bottles.
The White Port finish feels particularly well suited to Glasgow 1770’s triple distilled style. The distillery describes that spirit as bright, smooth and citrus-forward, and here the cask adds runny honey, floral sweetness, stone fruit and a gentle nuttiness without losing that lighter, more delicate character.
